"Winning has nothing to do with racing. Most days don't have races anyway. Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up."

Life is a journey, not a destination

So this is my first blog. This site is very interesting. I haven't quite figured it out yet. I'm going to be honest...I am totally copying my friend Suzie, by setting up a blog. But I feel as though there is a sort of accountability tied into blogging. Especially if I am blogging about my marathon training. If and when, I receive some followers, they will be looking to see what I accomplish and if I'm staying on track.

I also really like to journal; hence, blogging seems like a more technologically advanced way to do so. I also just finished watching the movie Julie&Julia, which is about blogging, and I enjoyed watching Julie conquer something for 365 days. I can't say that I'll master this blogging business, or that I'll even enjoy it....but I'm willing to give it a try.

I will be blogging about my marathon training. Because I learn so much throughout training. The reason I train for this sport is because I learn so much about myself through the process. Its the only time I can't escape myself and the things the Lord is trying to speak to me.

Hence, my training is not about a destination, it's a journey of discovering who I am...and what I'm capable of accomplishing.
